Dress Code

Benjamin Franklin students are expected to dress in a neat, attractive fashion reflecting pride in themselves and their school. The dress code is established to help ensure an atmosphere conducive to study. Pride in student dress is one of the most observable differences at Benjamin Franklin Charter School. It is both the parents' and the child's responsibility to ensure compliance with the Dress Code.

Dress Code for K-6th

All clothing must be modest in style and fit. Clothing may not be too tight or revealing.

Additional Guidelines:

Sunglasses and hats are permitted, but must be removed when inside a building
Piercings may only be worn in the ears
Shoes must be worn with socks, laced, buckled, and enclosed at the toe and heel
Hair must be natural in color, cut, and style (includes clip-ins and accessories)

Not permitted:

Flip flops, clogs, or other non-secured footwear
Makeup
Loop or dangling earrings (safety reasons)
Tattoos or other forms of body decoration, including drawing on yourself or others
Extreme haircuts/styles- Mohawks, shaved words/designs, unnatural colors
